Offham Primary School

The Easter Experience

Children in Years 5 and 6 visited St Michael's Church in Offham on Tuesday to take part in the 'Easter Experience' and learn about what Christians believe at Easter.

Volunteers spoke to children at different 'stations' which enabled the children to interactively learn about the Easter story. These 'stations' included Palm Sunday, the Garden of Gethsemane, the washing of the Disciple's feet, the Last Supper and the Resurrection. Children were very thoughtful and asked reflective and mature questions.

Thank you to Reverend Green and his volunteers for hosting us. Children demonstrated a good understanding of Christian religious beliefs and symbolism. We were all impressed with the excellent behaviour of all the children. Well done Orange and Yellow Class.
