Reading Ambassadors

In the 2023-24 academic year, we have taken on Reading Ambassadors. The Reading Ambassadors are a group of Year 6 children who promote our love of reading across the school.

This year, the Reading Ambassadors have opened up the Grotto at lunchtimes to read with some of the younger children, promoted reading in an assembly, and helped to develop the school library.

The Reading Ambassadors have also taken part in Silver Stories, where we have reached out through the charity to read to elderly people in the community. The scheme has been a success and we are hoping to expand it to reach more members of the community.
