School Facilities
Offham Primary School prides itself on being a traditional small village school, while providing an environment that allows children to excel.
Classrooms
All our classrooms are well organised. spacious and engaging spaces for our children to enjoy learning in. All classes has interactive white boards and a visualiser in place.
Nurture Room
We now have a dedicated Nurture Provision throughout the day. This is a large inviting space with cooking facilities and an outdoor area.
TEACCH Room
We now have a dedicated TEACCH provision in school. The room is set up to with individualised learning spaces to allow children to access their learning in a structured and predictable way.
Sensory Room
Based within a our Reception Classroom we have a sensory room to allow children the space and resource to support emotional regulation.
Library
We have a cosy library space, carefully designed to look like a real library and to encourage pupils to develop a love for reading. All classes have a library slot once a week and our children regularly use the library for research. We have Reading Ambassadors who love helping to run the library and help to inspire new generations of book worms!
Quintain Kitchen
Offham has its very own kitchen, allowing us to cook healthy and nutritional meals on site. We have a family service style dining experience, with packed lunches and school dinners eating together.
Hall
Our large versatile hall is always busy with assemblies, lessons , lunches and sensory circuits. Gym lessons involve the large apparatus to develop pupils’ confidence and ability. For class assemblies and productions we have a stage and lighting supporting performing arts and oracy.
The Grotto
The grotto is based on the bank of the playground. It is used as a quiet space at lunch and an intervention space throughout the day.
The Nest
This is a designated space is for our ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) to run sessions. Our ELSA works with children and their families supporting well-being and mental health.
Outdoor Learning Environment
We have a perfect location in the rural countryside in Kent; surrounded by fields and woods. Our curriculum is inspired by our setting and all pupils can be regularly seen learning through the outdoor environment come rain or shine. We have a play area on our field and on the bank of our playground. These exciting outdoor play areas encourages physical strength and agility, teamwork and safe risk-taking.
Minibuses
We have two school minibuses at school, allowing us to get out and about in our local community for even more off site visits and sporting opportunities.
Forest School
Our Forest School is based a Kent Fields. Children learn how to safely engage in our this fantastic environment. Activities include whittling, making their own small fires, weaving, nest-making etc. Every class has a termly slot for Forest School.
